Pithy Reviews: "The Happening"

At one point, just as we begin to realize this movie is not actually any good, its director gives us a hint about his feelings toward the audience: "You Deserve This" is painted across a real estate developer's billboard... and I gotta tell you, we really don't.

Guys, I mean it: Go see the Hulk again instead.

But like, I heard what the big twist turns out to be, and isn't it at least kind-of hilarious?

I'm not sure who told you that -- you know what's happening after like 10 minutes. So the big twist is there isn't one. Which, if the rest of the movie had been well-written, well-directed, or well-acted, might have been pretty great. Instead, it just sucks.
